Joaquin Phoenix is one of the most stellar actor in his generation. His projects were carefully selected and the results were always awesome. I still remember how he brilliantly portrayed Commodus in Ridley Scott’s Gladiator. That film was outstanding but will never be the same without Joaquin’s Commodus.
I also love his performance in Spike Jonze’s Her. Very beautiful.
And now i’m eagerly waiting for Todd Phillips’s Joker. For me, Joaquin is a very picky actor and if he do Joker, a movie based on the most popular comic book villain, I believe it will be special. Saw the trailer and i had a mixed feeling with this one. Definitely excited but can’t imagine the storyline and how he will bring this iconic character alive.
So, let’s put on a happy face 🙂
